Today's Car Conversation With Aiden

My youngest likes to talk in the car. A lot. Incessantly. Usually until he passes out mid-sentence. My godmother lives seven minutes from us. He wanted to go visit her this morning after we dropped his sister and brother at school. On the way back home, this was our conversation:

A: It's a nice day. A beautiful day. See all the green leaves. And the black flies. And the clouds. And the birds,

Me: It is a nice day.

A: Was it nice that I wanted to check on Grandma?

M: Yes.

A: What are rocks made out of?

M: Rocks.

A: What is glass made out of?

M: Glass.

A: What are metal pipes made out of?

M: Metal.

A: It would take 60 million days to hammer through a pipe.

M:

A: I don't have any pipe. Or a hammer. Daddy says hammers are not toys.

M: That's right.

A: I wish Grandma would feel better already. Her leg is stubborn.

M: (trying not to laugh)

A: Where are we going now?

M: Home.

A: Oh, that's good. It's been a long day.

In SEVEN minutes. lol

I love this kid.
